Sous Chef
The Black Swan, Lower Withington, Cheshire

Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside and now open we are looking for dynamic and outstanding Chefs to be part of this exciting new venture

The role of Sous Chef is a key position and will be responsible for supporting the head chef in delivering outstanding food at The Black Swan. As sous chef you will be capable of running the entire kitchen on a day to day basis and training the junior chefs to deliver excellent food from fresh ingredients in a fast paced and pressurised environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience at sous chef level and in a similar fresh food environment. You will be responsible for training and managing a small team of staff so people skills and an enthusiastic attitude are essential.

As with most chef work evenings and weekends are a must but the opportunity to join a dynamic team for a new venture awaits.

Chef de Partie
The Black Swan, Lower Withington, Cheshire

Due to our thriving business we are expanding our team of Chef de Parties at the Black Swan and are looking for a CDP with at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar environment to join our committed team of chefs. The ideal candidate will have a strong and robust personality capable of delivering in a fast paced, fresh food environment.

As Chef de Partie you must be capable of working all sections of the kitchen, completing daily prep lists and supervising Commis and Demi Chefs. You will be given the opportunity to showcase your own ideas and develop your skills.

Chef de Partie, Swan Hotel.
Set on the banks of the River Leven on the southern tip of Lake Windermere, the Swan is now seeking three Chef de Parties to work in our busy kitchen and to join our small but dedicated team.
Ideally the suitable candidate will have previous hotel experience working in a quality restaurant or gastro pub and at least 2 years experience as either demi or commis chef.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of junior members of staff, ensuring the highest levels of food standards are achieved and report directly to the Sous Chef.
Excellent working conditions and highly competitive rates of pay are available to the successful applicant; you could earn up to £20,000 depending upon experience. You must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and have the ability to work under pressure, but will receive excellent training and development in return.
