Yes, that’s right – Paddleboarding is back for 2024! We’ve again partnered with Paddleboard the Lakes to provide a super fun experience for you, your family and friends.
Whether it’s taking up a new skill or perfecting your paddle, we’d like you to join us at the paddle hut. Based right outside The Swan, it’s the perfect place to launch off into the River Leven.
Interested in getting your team out of the office and onto the water? We’ll also be offering team building packages – what and OARsome treat! More on that below.

Paddleboard hire is available from our wonderful partners at ‘Paddleboard The Lakes’. Push off from our very own marina based at The Swan.
From March through to October, come grab your boards from our lovely little paddle hut and hop aboard. We welcome the whole family, so grab your kids and your dog and let’s go!
Board hire only:
£30 per board for 2 hours
£60 per board for 4 hours
XL Ride Multi-Person Paddleboard:
£20 per person for 1 hour hire (minimum 3 people)
Master The Basics Lesson (1.5 hours):
£40pp for a group of 3 – 6 Adults
£50pp for 2 Adults
£65pp for private one-to-one tuition for 1 Adult
Family Session (1.5 hours) – up to 6 people:
£40 per Adult (18+)
£35 per Child (Ages 8 – 18)
Team-Building Session (1.5 hours):
£50 per Adult (minimum 4 people per group. Group discount applied to bookings of 10 or more participants.)

Board hire is on a first come first serve basis (Both hotel guests and non-residents are welcome).
Any sessions from the paddle hut that require an experienced paddleboarder to join will need to be pre-booked using their online booking enquiry form with at least 24 hours notice to ensure availability.

Self-Launch Membership
Join us in uniting water enthusiasts and passionate SUP aficionados! If you’re a regular visitor, why not consider purchasing a membership?
Dive into a seasonal package bursting with exciting adventures. Embrace your passion and enjoy more of what you love, whether it’s bringing your own board or opting to hire from us. Plus, share the excitement with friends and family at a discounted rate all season long. Membership perks await, available from April to October.
This package is designed for those who have their own paddleboard or kayak, are fully equipped, and just require access to the private marina. For just £70 you’ll get:
- Unlimited self-launches of your own board from The Swan Hotel private marina slipway during season opening times. (T&Cs apply. Membership is per person. Anyone who joins you and not hiring from us would also require a membership.)
- Family/friends discount: 10% off Paddleboard The Lakes board hire prices when they come to SUP with you.
- Joining us on our evening SUP socials (dates to be confirmed, but will hopefully run fortnightly throughout the season).
- The chance to meet & connect with like-minded people while doing something that you love.
- Free on-site parking (details must be given on arrival each time to avoid parking charges).
- 10% off in the Swan Hotel restaurant (show your membership ID card to receive discount off your bill – food only, drinks not included).
- 10% off at the Marina Ice Cream Hut.
- Access to exclusive paddleboard merchandise offers.
Block Session Membership
Discounted Board Hire
This package is designed for those who live local and love paddleboarding, but haven’t got their own paddleboard. Membership includes:
- Discounted board hire when bought in block sessions. (See table below. T&Cs apply. Time slots must still be booked in advance each time to ensure equipment availability. Membership is per person (1 board) and for the name holder only. Pre-paid sessions cannot be passed onto other participants.)
- Family/friends discount: 10% off Paddleboard The Lakes board hire prices when they come to SUP with you.
- Joining us free of charge on our evening SUP socials (dates to be confirmed, but will hopefully run fortnightly throughout the season).
- The chance to meet & connect with like-minded people while doing something that you love.
- Free on-site parking (details must be given on arrival each time to avoid parking charges).
