We’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of our very own Wild Swim Club at The Swan!
Join us for a unique opportunity to dip your toes into the scenic River Leven and experience the thrill and benefits of this refreshing activity.
Splashing into action soon (dates TBC), you’ll have the opportunity to meet our guide Karen and enjoy a wild swim.

Summer Food & Drinks!
To compliment our outstanding food and seasonal summer menus, we have a beautiful alfresco area on our terrace on the river. This means you can dine with us and take in all the scenery!
We serve food from our Swan Inn menu, and there’s also pizza available from our Dude’s Dough pizza van. Delicious!

During your Lake District breaks you can enjoy loads of fun activities, from paddleboarding on the Swan shores, to exploring by boat and train – there’s tons to see and do right on our doorstep!
When you stay with us you can enjoy complimentary use of the Hotel’s leisure facilities including our family swimming pool and playpark.
Head further afield, and you’ll find a plethora of activities, with adventure days by Graythwaite Adventure to seeing the Lake District from the Lake itself on Windermere Lake Cruises.

Holiday Cottages in the sun
Luxury Cottages
Our contemporary, craftsman built, luxury holiday cottages are located within the grounds of the hotel. We have acres of space for you to explore with plenty of scenic walks right on our doorstep. Each cottage (or nests as we like to call them!) is a ‘New England’ inspired Instagram delight. Fresh and airy, alfresco fireplaces and Egyptian cotton sheets. Luxury bathrooms and hardwood kitchens. Not to mention the views!
The kids will LOVE the bunk beds and games consoles in their rooms too!
All our luxury Lake District cottages have central heating and fully equipped kitchen with range cookers, fridge freezers, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryers, iron and ironing boards. There is also a supply of tea towels, oven gloves and a full log basket.
They’re the best spot for Lake District weekend break or a long summer stay!
